Faux Denim Cowgirl Giveway!

This is the final week of sponsoring month of the  Gingersnap Creations Blog. Our Cowboys and Cowgirls theme ends with the color theme of Denim, Dust and Rust -- and what better way to celebrate a fun month than to giveaway some terrific stamps?  

I have this HUGE 8-1/2" x 11" Cowgirl Blues Rubber Stamp sheet from Oxford Impressions. I love this sheet and use mine over and over -- it is jam-packed with 27 cowgirl-themed stamps. And with Memorial Day this weekend, what is more American than Cowfolk?  In any case, here is the stamp sheet:

The month of May brings big things...first, the Technique Junkie Newsletter is sponsoring the Gingersnap Creations Cowgirls and Cowboys Challenge this month. If you have not frequented the blog, go take a look -- we are sponsoring prizes all month there! One of the items we are giving away is the Emboss or Die CD. Today's Wonderful Wednesday giveaway offers one of my favorite stamp sheets to work with. These Country Girl stamps from Oxford Impressions are great whether you are creating a collages or using individual images, as I did with these two pieces. These two cards were made using the Metallic Stone Background -- one of the ten Bonus Techniques from the new Technique Junkies 6th Edition CD. If you are a regular on my blog, you know that normally I only have one card to give away with the stamps...today is a bit different.

Technique Blitz, TSSC and Blogger's Challenge!

Today is a "three-fer". As in, three things in one. Well, in two, actually! Aw heck, let me explain. Here is how I get three from all this...

First, the sketch used here was the Technostamper Sketch Challenge 29 from Monday -- which I am just a few days late on...


Second, today's Blogger's Challenge (59) is called "the same, but different" -- were we challenged with using a sketch of our choice to make two different cards with two diverse colors and stamps. I used MJ's sketch!

Finally, We are in the midst of a "Technique Blitz", so both of today's cards use techniques from the August 2008 issue of the TJ Newsletter. The first card, top, uses the Stenciled Collage Technique (8-08 TJNL) done on a Faux Denim Background (12-07 TJ). The stamps used here are from Oxford Impressions. I used an open-lined stamp over the stenciled area, and just lightly colored it in with colored pencils. I have a friend who loves horses, you see...

The second card, on the left, uses the Bandanna Technique from the 8-08 TJNL. These stamps are from Innovative Stamp Creations. Just love this stamp with that technique!
